Bhel Poori

DOSA
Dosa is a panake made from mixture of soaked lentils and rice, ground together and fermented overnight. All Dosa are served with Sambar and Chutney.
Sada Dosa  
A golden rice and lentil pancake.
Masala Dosa  
This is perhaps the most famous Udupi Brahmin dish. Rice and lentil pancake filled with traditional filling of seasoned potatoes, onion and peas.
Paper Plain Dosa

Rava plain Dosa   
Delicious Semolina and rice pancake with green chillies.
Rava Masala Dosa

Onion Rava Dosa

Uttappams
Uttappams are similar to Dosas, and are mode from lentils and rice fermented over night. But they are thick pancake and cooked in both sides and somes with different toppings.

THALIES
A Thali, literally, is traditionally a large circular tray holding numerous dishers. This is a three course set-meal starting with pappadam, pickles and soup followed by a main course of different curries, rice and bread.
Udupi Special Thali  
Starting with papappadam, pickles and soup followed by a main course of different, rasam, sambar, palya, dhal, raitha, poort/chapathi, rice and finally a shavige payasa.
Shivalli special Thali   
This Thali is slightly different from Udupi Special Thali. Starting with pappadam, pickles and main course contains with vegetable kurma, mutter panner, channa masala, aloo gedde soppu, dhal , raitha, special rice, poori/chapathi and finally a shavige payasa.
Curry Special
Vegetable Kurma  
Fresh vegetables cooked in a creamy sauce of roasted chashew nuts and coconut.
Channa Masala  
Tender chick peas simmered in a light tomato masala sauce.
Mutter Panner   
Creamy tomato sauce simmered with light spices and studded with home-made cottage cheese,cashew nuts and peas.
Majige Hulli   
Fresh vegetables cooked in delicately spiced coconut milk, chashew nuts and yogurt.
Aloogadde soppu   
This is our chef Radhakrishna's signature dish, spinach ans potato tempered with garlic, onion and spices.

Beetroot Sasami  
Traditional Shivalli dish, beetroot cooked with mustard seed, green chilli, coconut and yogurt.

Shivalli Special Salad

Bisi Bele Hulli Anna   
Plain white rice (anna) cooked with lentils, tamarind, cashew nuts, vegetables and tempered with butter and spices.This is an excellent meal by itself.
Kobbrianna  
Basamati rice tossed in a deep pan with coconut, peas, urad-dhal, mustard seeds and cashewnuts.
Chitranna   
Plain rice mixed with lemon juice, turmeric, fresh curry leaves, mustard seed, lentills and cashew nuts.
Puliyogare   
Rice steamed with tamarind juice and added fruit peanuts.
Mosar Anna   
A cooling mixture of rice, cucumber and yogurt tempered with asafoetida.
Boiled Rice   
Plain white basmati rice.

DESSERTS
Jaggerry Dosa

Gulab Jamun  
Homemade condensed milk win a rose and saffon syrup.
Badam Halwa   
Milk, Sugar, ghee, crushed almonds and saffron cooked to a special shivalli recipe.
Shrukand   
Cold yogurt cheese, soured and infused with saffron, sprinkled with crushed pistachios and almonds.
Kesari Bhath  
A traditional Shivalli pudding made from semolina cooked with butter and studded with raisins and cashew nuts. An alternative can be prepared for vegans.
Shavige Payasa  
An aristocrat of pudding made of milk , vermicelli ,sugar and cardamom pods.
Kulfi   
Delicious and smooth Indian ice-cream in mango, pistachio, malai and almond flavours.
Ice-creams
