i been in several times especially for dosa's, here we can see a big size of dosa and cost is cheap. Mon-Fri lunch time buffets are reasonable prices and everytime different varieties of dishes, mouthwatering easy to diggest very quickly.

Once upon a successful great restaurant Halli, sadly changed to serving meat and fish, but one of the founders shared the same sentiment, and opened as Shivalli.
Shivalli retaurant keeps the same decor, pine wood panels and pine tables which keeps the village theme. Most importantly the food, just unimaginable. The quality of the food is just the same or to be honest even better.
On the downside, Shivalli restaurant should do more marketing as its has taken me 6 months to find this restaurant exists.

Great food, massive dosas. They don't skimp on the spices, and the thali is great. This is pretty much my idea of a good South Indian restaurant (I'm not Indian btw, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). And is my favorite in Leicester.
I've been here about six times now, and it's been consistently tasty. I recently introduced my boss to south Indian cuisine at this restaurant. she absolutely loved it... which is convenient because she's vegetarian and could order anything on the menu without a worry.
The dishes I've had were not greasy, like so many dosa shacks I've been to over the years. Their food has excellent flavor.
Also, the spice is just right and the authentic flavours are very different. We had a great work xmas meal and my colleagues were very impressed with your service and food. Just woudl like to thank you on behalf of them. will be definetely be back!!!!!!!

Derek S Having finish watching the rugby match, we were walking into city centre for a meal. We came across Shivalli, featuring an unusual cusine.
I must say,it took us by surprise. The food served was beyond our expectation. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic vegetarian food. My kids enjoyed the long pancake mixed with potato curry (Masala Dosa) and we had Shivalli Special Thali. We will be definitely revisiting Shivalli to try other dishes. (Dec 2009) |

Chris B was tempted to visit the restaurant after reading such great reviews. I have to say that i was not at all disappointed. The food is spiced just right and the masala dosa is a treat on the taste buds. I hadn’t eaten this type of food before and I am so glad i found Shivalli, as I am now a regular. The staff are efficient and helpful and the food comes to the table quickly, piping hot and tasty.
Best of all is the price, its almost an injustice to pay so little for such great food. Atmosphere is always buzzing and there are always people in the queue to sample the delights on offer. I am vegetarian so its great for me but my friends and family aren't. However they all agreed who needs meat when vegetables can taste like this. Long live Shivalli. (Nov 2009) |
